The "twins"

Here they are... Evan and "Brynna" as Evan and only Evan calls her. They are the best of friends sometimes and bitter enemies more often. There is only seven months in age difference between the two (Evan is older) which means they will go to school the same year and have each other for all those firsts. Personality-wise they are a lot alike - they share a love of adventure, action, and being busy. Evan is a bit on the cautious side and while Brynn cries when he cries, yells when he yells, repeats what he says, fights back when he starts it, and insists on my lap if Evan has it, Brynn hasn't seemed to catch on to the "maybe this is scary" thoughts yet. They both love jumping on the bed together, having "tea" together, scaring any furry creature they see together, and chasing airplanes together. The other day Evan tried to teach "Brynna" how to play Simon Says even though he can't really play it himself.
A funny story... the other day we were going to a friends house to swim. Brynn and Evan are in the middle row of our Explorer and they each grabbed a swim diaper and Evan yelled "watch this" (a phrase Brynn now repeats endlessly) and I turned around to see each of them with a swim diaper pulled over their heads like hats. I wish I had brought my camera.
Here they are modeling their goggles at the pool and when I went to take the picture, Brynn hugged Evan (that was a bit of a shocker) and yelled "cheeseburger". Why? Because that is what Evan does everytime mommy takes a picture...

What an awesome picture! Brynn and Evan are adorable together. I'm tearing up here because I SO want to have our Vivian home to play with her brothers. She's 10 months younger than our oldest and 10 months older than our youngest. It should be interesting.
Love your blog!

Love the photo. Isn't bonding great (you didn't realize that fighting was a part of bonding huh).
Brynn's vocabulary is going to continue to expand and you still won't understand half of what she is trying to tell you (at least that is how it is with Carter right now).
You have an absolutely awesome family and have been truly blessed.
I'm still up for a play date when you are ready (I know you and Doug are in over drive right now trying to get everything done).
Can't wait to see you at Jr. Women's Club.
