Goodbye China!

Well, we are packed and ready to head home - at least dad and I are; Brynn has no clue what is coming. I have bought snacks galore for bribery on the plane. Brynn will probably weigh twice as much when we land.

Today we finished up some shopping and went to the American Consulate to get Brynn's visa and take an oath that I was honest on all the papers I submitted. She can now legally enter the U.S. Once again we had the "you need to sit on a moving vehicle" tantrum so I cannot even begin to imagine a car seat for her. Doug, do not forget the lollipops at the airport!!!!

We ate at a Thai restaurant tonight and it was delicious. I am a chopstick pro now -well perhaps not in the eyes of the Chinese but at least in mine I am. Guess what boys... I even bought some for us to try at home! Brynn enjoyed slurping her chicken noodle soup at dinner; she had it all over her.

I am having trouble accessing my email today so I can't add any comments that some of you may have tried to make to the blog. Thank you everyone for your comments, emails, thoughts and prayers! I'll be posting pictures of our family together on Friday night - EST!

Hoping for smooth, calm, full of sleep flights,
Kate

Kate -

I know your are glad that your journey in China is coming to an end, and that your new journey will be beginning in the US. My thoughts and prayers are with you, g-pa and Brynn for the flights home.

If you need someone to keep some of the children so each of them can have some one-on-one time with mommy, daddy and Brynn just let me know. I would feel honored to help out!

Can't wait to see you and the gang all together in person and in photos.

Best wishes for safe and uneventful travels.

Kate,
I know you probabaly won't see this until after it's all over but we will be praying peace and blessings upon you as you journey home. If things get rough just consider it your "labor pains" (Do you think they serve epidurals on airplanes? Did you think to pack one?) Looking back, any unpleasantness or pain associated with childbirth and pregnacy are vague and hazy memories but the Joys and milestones and precious memories are vivid. Such is this transition. You'll remember it was a 'labor of love' and a true gift of time to bond and connect. We celebrate the arrival of you beautiful daughter and will continue to pray for all of you as you become the Super Six!!
Love,
Sherry
