We're Home

Here is the whole gang. After 30 hours of traveling we made it home around 1:00am today and we are exhausted! Brynn and I took a 6 hour nap today, waking up at 4pm and she is now out again and I am not far behind her. She did great on the trip home with her only airplane melt down being the last 20 minutes of the last flight; everybody needed to wake up to get home anyway! :)

They boys had decorated the house with balloons and they were all over her this morning. Within 5 minutes they had shown her every toy in the house and had her first lesson on the names of all the Thomas the Train friends. It was all overwhelming for me so I can't even imagine what it was like for her but there were plenty of giggles mixed in with the tears and exhaustion. And of course, she had a bat and ball in her hand before the day was over!! We plan on spending the next few days at home so things can be as calm as they can be, though with 6 of us "calm" is probably not the best word to use... maybe I should phrase it as "minimize the chaos" but not sure that is possible either! Thank you all again for your well wishes and prayers!

Kate

This is from Friday but after I typed it, the internet wasn't working!

ghI feel like Ty Pennington, but I have to say it anyway.......Welcome Home Straley Family!!!!!!!

I khow you all will be going through another adjustment period, but it appears that Brynn and the boys are well on their way. As for you and Doug......well I have all faith that you two will get through this smelling like a rose.... besides there is plenty of chocolate close by Kate.

I am glad the trip one was as uneventful as it was, and I see another blast ball player in the near future (with a pink bat, glove and helmet I might add)!

Please don't hesitate to let me know if you need anything, and enjoy your time trying to find a new improved routine with your beautiful addition to the family.

Hope to see you all soon, when you are ready for visitors!

P.S.: THanks for updating the website, I was up until after 11:00 last night waiting for the photos (I even let the kids stay up beacuse they wanted to see)

Welcome home!!! I'm so happy to hear that Brynn handled the trip home so well. I'm sure there are many more hurdles to overcome getting her used to everything, but you get to do that at HOME now!! We just can't wait to meet her and hope the next few weeks bring more happy family moments together!!
Love,
Stace
