Day 2... We are in Nanchang
Hi all! I finally have the camera and the computer cooperating but I still can't see what I am posting and I seem to be having trouble getting the pictures in the text when I type so to see the pictures, you should be able to click on that "flicker" box on the left, where the pictures change, and see the pictures.
Today we went to Tiananmen Square and to the Forbidden City (very interesting) before flying to Nanchang. We also went on a rickshaw ride through an older section of Beijing and had tea in a family's home. It was interesting to see their house and talk with them. Our guide, Mary, was fantastic! We arrived here around 8:00pm and met briefly with our new guide Monica. Tomorrow at 11:00am (11pm on Sunday in Virginia) I will meet Brynn here in the hotel. There were a lot of couples on our plane with strollers but no children and my dad went to check out the hotel a little while ago and commented he thinks our floor is full of adopting families so my guess is that there will be many families coming together here tomorrow.
So I am going to now attempt to sleep! I'll post the pictures as soon as I can!
Kate
P.S. Price, I did not need sticky tape on my shoes for The Great Wall; there were just lots and lots of stairs and they were uneven because they were so old and many people have walked on them. It made me tired though! Caleb, I have opened your notes - thank you! They made me smile! Evan, Make sure you give your jersey to daddy to wash so you can wear it every day!

The pictures are great! The flikr photostream seems to be working now.
It is so exciting to see and hear about what you guys are doing..I can't imagine how surreal it must feel to actually be there-and how your anticipation must be building for Monday. We are practically holding our breath until you actually meet ManLu.
Yay! She's almost in your arms! Crossing my fingers for a magical Gotcha day!

We are so excited! The big moment is almost here! My children are all busy making pictures to give Brynn Man Lu when she arrives! Noah's says "Pricess Brynn", can you tell he knows about sisters? I am still trying to figure out how to get the pix... I can't wait to hear/read your next post! Our love is with you!
We love following along on your journey, Kate. I've seen the boys out and about today and they look great. Can't wait for you to meet ManLu and to bring her home!
Kate -
I checked your blog first thing this morning and was so excited to see photos of you and Brynn. She is absolutely beautiful and you have that new mom "glow"!
I saw Doug and the boys at Relay For Life and they all seemed to be having a great time. Your brother-in-law was quite the Mr. Relay (winning the whole thing I might add).
I know you are building an unbreakable bond with Ms. Brynn and I pray every day for your safe return.
